Tenafly Family Photographer

Tenafly is one of my favorite towns to shoot in. It has that rare mix of real woods, real gardens, and real neighborhood charm, all within a few minutes of each other. I am based just a few towns over in Teaneck, so Tenafly sessions are practically in my backyard, and I know exactly where the light lands at every time of year.

Families in Tenafly tend to want the same thing I want: photos that feel like their actual life, not a production. Candid, warm, the kind of images that end up framed in the hallway. That is the session I do best.

Where We Shoot in Tenafly

Tenafly Nature Center is the standout. Nearly 400 acres of woodland with real trails, a pond, and the kind of deep-tree light that makes everything look golden in late afternoon. It is the closest thing to an escape-without-leaving-town that Bergen County has, and kids love it because it feels like an adventure, not a photo shoot.

Davis Johnson Park and Gardens gives you something completely different: formal gardens, open lawns, and structured beauty. It is perfect for families who want a few polished frames alongside the candid ones, and spring here is especially lovely.

Huyler Park, right off Piermont Road, is the easy neighborhood option. Open, relaxed, no hiking required. Great for families with very little ones who need a session that stays simple.

And like everywhere I shoot, your own street or backyard is always on the table. Tenafly's residential blocks are beautiful in fall.
