Franklin Lakes is one of the most beautiful towns in Bergen County, full stop. Big skies, a gorgeous reservoir preserve, and neighborhoods that look their best in every season. I love shooting here. It is a straight shot from my home in Teaneck, and the variety of landscapes within a few minutes of each other means no two sessions ever look the same.
Families here appreciate quality and they can spot the difference between real and staged from a mile away. Good. So can I. My sessions are guided but natural, relaxed but intentional, and the photos look like your family on its best day.
Where We Shoot in Franklin Lakes
The G. Thomas Donch Nature Preserve is the standout. One hundred forty-seven acres wrapped around a 70-acre lake, with trails, floating bridges, and sunset views that do the heavy lifting for me. It is peaceful, uncrowded, and wildly photogenic in fall.
High Mountain Park Preserve gives you something wilder: over a thousand acres of ridges and trails with real elevation and long views. For families who want their session to feel like a genuine outdoor adventure, this is the spot.
Parsons Pond Park is the quiet local option, dog-friendly and relaxed. Easy parking, easy walking, and a calm setting that works especially well for families with small kids or grandparents joining in.
And of course, many Franklin Lakes families prefer their own property. With the lots and landscaping in this town, your backyard might be the best location of all. I am always happy to shoot at home.

My Essential Family Session is $399 for 45 minutes. Guided but natural: I direct, you be yourselves, and the best images land in the in-between moments. Every photo is edited and delivered to a proof gallery, and you keep your 20 favorites.

- Add-ons available: Pre-pay for additional images for a discounted rate, at the end of your session you will be able to choose your 20 images, prepay for additional images now or pay the standard rate later.
