Edgewater Family Photographer



Edgewater is one of those towns that doesn't look like the rest of Bergen County — and that's a good thing for family photography. You've got the Hudson River running right alongside it, the Manhattan skyline sitting across the water, and a mix of waterfront park space and residential neighborhoods that gives sessions here a different feel than inland Bergen County.

Families in Edgewater tend to be younger, often in condos or newer buildings, and they usually want photos that feel modern and real rather than traditional. That fits my style. Sessions here move quickly, the light off the water is great during golden hour, and the backdrop does work that most inland locations can't match.



Where We Shoot in Edgewater

Edgewater Marina Park is the main spot — a wide waterfront stretch with open sky, the Hudson right there, and Manhattan filling the frame behind your family. It's one of the more genuinely unique backdrops for a family session in all of North Jersey.

The park along the riverfront between the marina and the northern end of Edgewater gives you more variety — grass, walkways, water views — without the crowds that hit the marina area on weekends.

For families who prefer something less waterfront, the residential areas and parks just off River Road offer a quieter, more neighborhood feel with good tree coverage and natural light.
