Bergen County is where I do most of my work. It's a big county with a lot of variety — waterfront towns along the Hudson, quiet residential neighborhoods with old trees and good streets, county parks that give you 100+ acres to work with. Wherever you are in Bergen County, there's a location within a few miles that works for family photos.
I shoot across the whole county. Not just one or two towns — all of them. If you live here, you don't need to travel for this.
Where We Shoot in Bergen County
Overpeck County Park is my go-to location for Bergen County sessions. It spans Leonia, Teaneck, and Ridgefield Park and gives you a lot to work with — open fields, wooded paths, water views, and enough variety to build a full session without leaving the park. It's central, easy to get to from most Bergen County towns, and it photographs well in almost any season.

What does a family photo session entail
The Essential Family Session is a guided but natural outdoor shoot, no stiff poses, no forced production, just an easy afternoon together. We'll spend time outside at one of my go-to locations in Northern, NJ or somewhere we agree on together. I'll give gentle direction when it helps and step back when it doesn't, since some of the best moments happen when everyone stops thinking about the camera.
Afterward, every image from your session is fully edited and delivered to a proof gallery, where you choose your 20 favorites to keep. Want more? Additional images can be unlocked at booking for a discounted rate, or after delivery at the standard rate. Once you book, you'll get a confirmation along with everything you need to prepare for your session.

- Location: Bergen County area (Historic Park, waterfront/Palisades views, or a spot that fits your family) or your home, if that's an option you are comfortable with.

- Add-ons available: Pre-pay for additional images for a discounted rate, at the end of your session you will be able to choose your 20 images, prepay for additional images now or pay the standard rate later.

What's the best location for family photos in Bergen County?
Overpeck County Park is my go-to. It spans multiple towns, gives you open fields, wooded paths, and water views all in one spot, and it works in every season. What should we wear?
Neutral and coordinated. Blues, greens, creams, and warm tones work well against natural outdoor backdrops. Avoid bright logos or patterns that pull attention away from faces. If you're unsure, send me a photo before the session and I'll give you a quick read.
How far in advance should I book?
A few weeks is usually enough for standard sessions. If you have a specific date in mind — a birthday, an anniversary, a visit from out-of-town family — book as early as you can. Fall is the busiest season and fills up fast.
What time of day works best?
Golden hour — the hour before sunset — gives the best light anywhere in Bergen County. Late afternoon sessions generally photograph the best. Early morning works too if your family is up for it and you want softer, cooler light.
